Last fall I had the pleasure of modeling in a steampunk convention fashion show. I modeled for my friends at Scoundrelle’s Keep, who had a jewel toned palette of garments to accompany their signature corset line. Chosen for me was a chocolate corset with coattails and a hood, matched with gold pantaloons. I was thrilled to hear the ensemble I wore was in demand immediately after I had left runway!
The convention itself was new and had all the problems that come with inexperience, out of habit of staffing conventions I even found myself jumping to try to fix things, but the fashion show was a lovely chance for local designers to show a wide range of Victorian era inspire wear.
